Admin API

⚠️
Preview — this feature is being built; the design below is the spec.

The Admin API manages the organization itself from code: workspaces, members and invites, inference keys, spend and rate limits, and usage, cost, audit and Syntic Code reports. Every call goes to https://app.syntic.ai/v1/organizations/... with an admin key (sk_admin_...) and syntic-beta: admin-2026-11-01. Admin keys cannot call models, and inference keys cannot call the Admin API.

Authority

An admin key acts with its creator’s current role. Keys made by Owners can do everything; keys made by Administrators can do what an Administrator can do in the Console. If the creator is demoted or leaves, the key stops working with 403 admin_key_owner_ineligible. Every Admin API request is written to the audit log as admin_api.request.

Limits

The Admin API allows 300 requests a minute per organization, separately from inference traffic. Lists use cursor pagination; errors use the error envelope.

Start with Admin API and admin keys to create a key.
