Extend a work lease
⚠️
Preview — this feature is being built; the design below is the spec.
POST https://app.syntic.ai/v1/runners/work/{work_id}/heartbeatExtend the lease on a work item by another 60 seconds while a long tool call is still running. Optionally stream partial output so the agent’s event log shows progress.
For how this fits into a full workflow, see Self-hosted runners.

|---|---|---|---|
| 400 | invalid_request_error | beta_required | The syntic-beta header is missing. |
| 409 | conflict_error | lease_lost | The lease already expired and the item went back to the queue. |
| 404 | not_found_error | work_not_found | No work item with this id leased to this runner. |
| 429 | rate_limit_error | rate_limited | Too many requests; wait for Retry-After. See Rate-limit headers. |
