Interrupt a thread

POST https://app.syntic.ai/v1/sessions/{session_id}/threads/{thread_id}/interrupt

Stop one delegate thread without stopping the session. The delegate’s in-flight tool calls are cancelled, the thread ends with status: interrupted, and its parent receives the delegation result as an error so it can decide what to do next. To stop everything, interrupt the session instead.

Field	Type	Description
`id`	string	Starts with `thr_`.
`role`	string	`primary` for the session’s main conversation, `delegate` for a sub-agent the primary handed work to.
`parent_thread_id`	string or null	The thread that started this one; `null` for the primary thread.
`agent_id`	string	The agent running in this thread. Delegates run the agent named in the parent’s `delegates` list.
`status`	string	`running`, `idle`, `completed`, `failed` or `interrupted`.
`usage`	object	Tokens and cost for this thread alone. The session’s `usage` is the sum of all threads.

Errors

Errors use the error envelope and carry a request_id. Codes specific to this operation:

400	`invalid_request_error`	`cannot_interrupt_primary`	The primary thread is stopped with the session-level interrupt.
409	`conflict_error`	`thread_not_running`	The thread already ended.
404	`not_found_error`	`thread_not_found`	No thread with this id in the session.
401	`authentication_error`	`invalid_api_key`	The key is missing, unknown, revoked or expired.
429	`rate_limit_error`	`rate_limited`	Too many requests; wait for `Retry-After`. See Rate-limit headers.
